George Rinker

George Rinker

George Rinker holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Georgia State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia (#3382). His undergraduate degrees include a BA in Education and a BS in Business Management from Presbyterian College. Among his honors are being elected to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities by the college administration and receiving the President’s Scholarship for his leadership accomplishments and community service. He currently teaches Psychology Classes on the University Level and Counseling Classes on the Graduate Level. As a complement to his clinical skill set George also holds a MDiv (Masters in Divinity) from Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur Georgia.

George has over 25 years of experience working in community mental health and in private, organizations as a counselor and teacher. Currently, he has an established behavioral/mental health practice in Atlanta but also teaches psychology and religion classes in two local Universities. George has an overwhelming commitment to giving of himself and extending his skills sets to all facets of people’s lives and reaches out to the medical community at large assisting people who are transitioning and resolving behavioral health issues of many dimensions.  George believes in the uniqueness of each person, and in the strength and creativity of the human spirit.

George grew up in Augusta, Georgia. Among his hobbies and interests are swimming, camping, boating, hiking, music, woodworking, scuba diving, traveling, and animals and playing his violin. In addition, he enjoys studying history, nature/outdoors and ways of helping people in the field of counseling.
